Three transformations in detail

From compensating to compounding — Marcus's story

Challenge

Marcus came in with two years of nagging shoulder pain that had quietly killed his bench, his confidence, and his consistency. Every press meant a wince.

Approach

Movement screen flagged a downwardly-rotated scap and an over-active upper trap. We pulled barbell pressing for 4 weeks, replaced it with neutral-grip and serratus work, then re-introduced the bench progressively over weeks 5–10.

Outcome

By week 14: pain-free 1RM bench, -22 lbs body weight, and visible upper-back development for the first time in his lifting career.

"I should have done this two years ago."

Postpartum return done right — Priya's story

Challenge

Priya wanted to feel like an athlete again four months after her second baby — without rushing, without hurting her core, and around a brutal sleep schedule.

Approach

We started with breathing, intra-abdominal pressure work, and pelvic floor cueing. Strength was layered in slowly: hip-dominant patterns first, then full-body lifts. Sessions capped at 35 minutes for the first 8 weeks.

Outcome

Twelve weeks in: hip thrust up 30 lbs, no diastasis or pelvic floor symptoms, and energy that her husband noticed before she did.

"Sean made me feel like an athlete and a mom — at the same time."

Out of the orthopedic cycle — Trevor's story

Challenge

Three orthos had told Trevor to stop squatting. He was 31. He didn't accept that as the answer.

Approach

Screen revealed a glute-med shutdown driving valgus collapse on his right knee. Eight weeks of dedicated abductor + single-leg work, paired with reduced-load tempo squats, rebuilt the pattern from the ground up.

Outcome

Week 8: pain-free back squats at bodyweight + 100 lbs. Week 16: PR back, no flare-ups, and a knee that finally tracks straight.

"He fixed in 8 weeks what three doctors couldn't fix in two years."
